I see more every day how Chiropractic can change lives. Let me tell you a little about myself.
My Chiropractic journey
My father, Dr. David Chan, was an accountant for a large company when a colleague introduced him to Chiropractic. The philosophy and idea of Chiropractic intrigued him enough that with his wife and 3 children, he quit his job and went back to school. He attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and graduated in 1980. He moved to Kennewick, Washington where he started his practice.
I attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and began my pre-medical education. During my junior year, I began to really look at the different medical professions and chose Chiropractic as my future. I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California. I grew up under chiropractic care, but I did not understand its benefits until I began graduate college myself. Injuries and sickness were treated with herbs, nutrition, rest and Chiropractic adjustments. I learned how amazing our bodies are and how Chiropractic care provides an essential role in our health.
I finished my doctorate in 2003 and then moved to Kennewick, Washington where I joined my father in practice. My commitment is to promote the health and well being of my patients. I use a 'whole person approach' and primarily use the Thompson drop table technique. My goal is to use the very best hands-on-technique to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
A Little About Me
I am married to my wonderful wife, Stacy, and we have 4 amazing children: James, Emma, Adam, and Kyle. We have lived in Kennewick since 2003, and love this community. In my spare time, I love being with my family. Whether camping, skiing, at the beach or in the yard, we love to be outdoors. We are also a family that loves to visit the magical kingdom of Disneyland when the opportunity arises. Everybody has a laughing place and that is one of ours.
The longer I am in chiropractic, the more I come to understand that having optimum health is a lifestyle–it doesn’t just happen! I like to call this the “Chiropractic Lifestyle” which includes regular chiropractic adjustments (1-2 times a month), healthy eating habits, appropriate exercise and stretching, and proper sleep. I have found that as my family and I live this lifestyle, we are able to do the things we want to do, have less sickness, and are happier.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and what we at Chan Chiropractic and Massage have to offer you. I realize more every day how vital a role Chiropractic care should play in the lives of everyone. The answer to many of the health care problems that we see today can be found in and through Chiropractic.
